Trial against Aurora paramedics about sedative

The prosecutors in the trial against two paramedics in the death of Elijah McClain are arguing that the paramedics failed to properly care for McClain by overdosing him with a sedative he didn't need. They claim that the paramedics did not follow their training and did not conduct basic medical checks before administering the ketamine. The defense argues that the paramedics followed their training and that the sedative did not cause McClain's death. The case has drawn attention as it is rare for medical first responders to face criminal charges. Three police officers involved in McClain's death have already gone to trial, with two being acquitted and one being convicted of criminally negligent homicide and assault. The paramedics are being tried for manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and assault. It's unfortunate!
